I've been playing guitar for about 6 years now; experimenting and learning all about guitar electronics. I've learned from professionals,
so my work is professional quality. I personally installed the two switches on my custom RG with fantastic results. The switch between the volume and tone knobs is the
volume/tone bypass switch. It enables me to switch between however my volume and tone knobs are set to absolutely full output from my pickups. It's a great feature to have.
The switch near the output cuts the signal from the pickups by shorting it to ground, which is exactly how the volume knob works. Silencing the guitar like that prevents the
infamous buzz that you get from having your amp on with the chord unplugged from your guitar. If you'd like to install any of these features on your guitar, or any other custom
